Air Freight Pilot:

Worthey Trucking is seeking a skilled and experienced Air Freight Pilot to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and timely transport of cargo via our air freight services, ensuring that shipments reach their destinations efficiently and securely.

Flight Operations:

• Conduct pre-flight inspections, including checking aircraft systems, fuel levels, and cargo security.
• Plan and execute flight paths, taking into account weather conditions, air traffic, and other factors to ensure safe and efficient flights.
• Operate the aircraft according to all federal aviation regulations (FARs) and company policies.

Cargo Handling:

• Oversee the loading and unloading of cargo, ensuring proper weight distribution and secure stowage.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations related to cargo handling, including hazardous materials protocols when applicable.

Communication and Coordination:

• Maintain clear communication with air traffic control, ground crews, and the Worthey Trucking logistics team throughout the flight.
• Coordinate with dispatchers and logistics personnel to ensure accurate and timely delivery of cargo.

Safety and Compliance:

• Adhere to all safety protocols and emergency procedures, ensuring the safety of the aircraft, cargo, and crew.
• Stay updated on the latest regulations and best practices in aviation safety and cargo transport.
• Conduct post-flight inspections and report any mechanical issues or discrepancies.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain accurate records of flight hours, fuel consumption, cargo manifests, and any incidents or irregularities during flights.
• Prepare and submit required reports to the company and relevant regulatory bodies.

Training and Development:

• Participate in ongoing training and certification programs to stay current with industry standards and advancements in aviation technology.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior pilots and other crew members as needed.

• Valid commercial pilot’s license (CPL) with multi-engine and instrument ratings.
